We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Construction Supervisor with specific expertise in high-voltage stringing to deliver a massive pipeline of work for a major Australian utility network.
Offering excellent job security through a confirmed 3-year pipeline of works across major NSW energy projects. Working within a lean, practical delivery structure, you will report to the Project Manager and take complete ownership of on-site construction delivery across both greenfield and brownfield transmission line builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead on supervising and coordinating high-voltage stringing activities, specifically across 330kV and 500kV transmission line corridors.
- Lead site teams and manage daily activities for work crews, plant operations, and subcontractors, with a goal of building strong relationships with local vendors.
- Contribute to and fully own construction management plans, managing equipment logistics, daily work plans, and ensuring all contract obligations are met.
- Work closely with Project Engineers to document quality assurance, monitor project milestones, and conduct thorough safety inspections and audits.
- Drive a safety-first culture on and off-site, ensuring strict compliance with major utility project specifications and environmental standards.
- Respond effectively to work delays, emergencies, or project disruptions, and maintain clear communication with project stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- A proven background in site leadership (Site Manager or Construction Manager) coupled with direct, hands-on experience supervising stringing operations on 330kV or 500kV transmission projects in Australia.
- Familiarity with major utility standards, brownfield augmentations, and transmission networks.
- A valid UET30521 Certificate III in ESI - Transmission Overhead, or a strongly relevant trade background.
- High Risk Work Licenses are highly regarded, specifically EWP, WP endorsement, Dogging, Rigging, and C2 Crane qualifications.
- A solid understanding of safety and compliance frameworks, including PSSR and CPR-LVR.
- A valid "C" or "MR" class manual driver's license with the ability or willingness to upgrade to an HR license.
